Setting goals for the day is one thing, but getting them all done is another. We get it. There are days when you just happen to wake up at the wrong side of the bed and everything else that follows feels like ‘nahhh’.

At times when it’s hard to keep the fire lit, you choose to just bury yourself into a couch and before you knew it, you buried yourself too deep until you’ve fallen into the pit of s-l-u-m-p.

But hey, YOU can still turn things around. There’s no guarantee it will be quick and easy, but we hope that the below tips can help you stay productive and at your best!

Define your purpose for doing things.

Give yourself a breather and define your ‘why’. Why are you finishing this term paper? Why are you trying to stay fit? Aren’t you working to save money for your future travels? Keeping tabs on your goals will help clear your outlook and give you a good head start.

Start with baby steps.

After giving yourself some time to breathe, start small. List down your goals for the day, for the week, and start ticking tasks off that list one by one. You don’t have to work on the biggest tasks right away. Remember that your effort counts, no matter how big or small it is.

Get back to exercising.

Staying productive work- or school-wise is awesome, but mixing productivity with staying fit and healthy? Definitely 100000x more awesome. Start with blocking a schedule each day for workouts. If you can’t go out to use your gym’s sophisticated equipment, you can go for a virtual gym, or online yoga or Pilates to help you get moving.

Keep in touch with your mates.

It doesn’t matter whether you meet in person or within the four corners of Zoom. Connect with people who not only give you the loudest and heartiest of laughs but also encourage you to stay on track. Better yet, find someone whose goals are aligned with yours—like a workout or cycling class buddy, your favourite workmate, or a friend who attends the same course at your uni.

Spoil yourself.

Sometimes you deserve more than just a self-tap on the back for a job well done! Celebrate your milestones, no matter how big or small they are, by rewarding yourself with the things you love. Buy that new outfit, go binge that TV show or indulge in your fav burger—give yourself exciting things to look forward to. It’s perfectly okay and you deserve it.

There you go! We know it’s easier said than done but, stay motivated and keep on shining! 😎✨
